These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain the rules that govern your use of the Sudanese Council Institute (SCI) website, courses, level tests, English Club, Book Club, and any other services we provide ("Services"). By creating an account or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Your Account
You are responsible for providing accurate information when you register, for keeping your account credentials confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account.
2. Signing Up Through a Third Party
You may create an account or sign in using your Google account. Doing so authorizes us to receive your basic name and email from Google to create and operate your account with us, and these Terms and our Privacy Policy apply in full to your use of our Services regardless of how you sign in.
3. Courses, Level Tests, and Certificates
Some courses can only be enrolled in after passing the Level Test at the required level, or the course before it in the sequence, as shown on the course page. Certificates are issued once the relevant course requirements or test are completed, and remain the intellectual property of SCI until issued in your name.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use our Services for any unlawful purpose, impersonate another person, share level test answers or course content with unenrolled parties, attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts, or post abusive or discriminatory content in comments, reviews, or the chat assistant.
5. AI Chat Assistant
Our site offers an automated chat assistant, grounded in our site content, to answer common questions. It is not intended to provide financial, legal, or formal academic advice, and for anything specific to your account or course, please contact our team directly.
6. Intellectual Property
All course materials, tests, videos, and text made available through our Services are owned by or licensed to SCI, and may not be copied, redistributed, or used commercially without our prior written permission.
7. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may also request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Our Services are provided "as is," without any express or implied guarantee of specific learning outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SCI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our Services.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any change, and your continued use of our Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
